About Philip Villa

Philip Villa is a martial arts practitioner and entrepreneur from Italy. He is the founder of Muay Thai brand, Yokkao.

Villa is a former fighter and a combat sports fan since he was a kid growing up in northern Italy. He arrived in Thailand in 2007 where he trained and fought out of Sityodtong Muay Thai Gym in Pattaya. During this period, he had the opportunity to know many fighters as well as learn about the Muay Thai industry in depth.

Equipped with the knowledge and experience that he gained, Villa founded Yokkao in 2010 as a Muay Thai gear and equipment manufacturer. The Bangkok-based company has grown under Villa’s direction into a fully vertically integrated Muay Thai company that promotes international events, worldwide seminars, with a global team of sponsored fighters.

Villa is a progressive thinker who stays up-to-date with the latest global trends. He has combined combat sports with fashion & lifestyle concepts to make Yokkao stand out from the competition. Other than its innovative product designs, Villa was an early adopter in using social media marketing for the promotion of Yokkao that has led to its exponential worldwide recognition.

Villa’s strong lifelong passion for Muay Thai helped him build Yokkao successfully. Backed by his entrepreneurial skills and driven by his love of the sport, he is on a journey to increase the global awareness of Muay Thai and take it to new frontiers.
